Q: What genres do you edit?
A: Every genre of fiction and non-fiction, except for erotica.
Q: What file type do you need to review the manuscript?
A: Printed pages if you are willing, otherwise a PDF file is preferred.
Q: What form of payment do you require?
A: I request that all payments be made through paypal. For short stories and novelettes, I am willing to accept payment after editing is complete. For novellas and novels, I request that half of the payment be made before editing and the other half after completion.
Q: Do you offer developmental editing?
A: I am currently in a personal trial run for developmental editing: mainly to determine what time frame I can promise authors. I would like to promise 8,000 words/day for developmental editing. However, I am looking for authors who are willing to be flexible, and I will offer a discount for the inconvenience.
Q: How long does it take you to fully edit a manuscript?
A: For Proofreading; 15,000 words per day. For Line Editing; 10,000 words per day.
Q: What if I don't agree with some of your changes?
A: That's fine! I give careful and thoughtful consideration to the changes I make, however I know that the works I edit are not my own. As the author, you have final say in what changes do or do not end up in your final draft.
